Our Story
Matos Construction is a residential renovation and custom finish carpentry company serving the Washington DC, Maryland, and Northern Virginia market. Leo founded it with a single focus: finish work at a level most contractors in the DMV do not reach.
He brings more than eight years of hands-on experience in high-end residential renovation. The core of the work is custom millwork and built-ins, whole-home renovations, kitchen and bathroom remodels, and basement finishing, the kind of work that needs both technical precision and real conversations with homeowners who have high expectations for the finished result.
We work across Fairfax County (McLean, Great Falls, Vienna), Montgomery County (Bethesda, Potomac, Chevy Chase), Arlington, and select Washington DC neighborhoods. Those are demanding submarkets, and the expectations there keep our standards where they should be.
We keep our project load deliberately small. Leo is on every project from the first walkthrough to the final sign-off, and every job we take gets our full attention.

He walks the job, prices it, and stays on it through the process. At the end he signs off on the finished work himself.
Our own crew, or trades we vet
Depending on the job, the work is done by our crew or by trades we bring in, including licensed plumbing, electrical, and HVAC. Leo holds all of them to the same standard.
A small number of projects at a time
We keep the project load deliberately small. Every job we take gets our full attention rather than a slot in a queue.
