Takes about a minute. Leo replies within one business day.
Round Hill sits at the foot of the Blue Ridge at the western edge of Loudoun County, and the town splits neatly into two kinds of work. The older houses near the center need the careful approach: matching existing trim, working around walls that are not square, respecting details worth keeping. The newer neighborhoods that went up around town need the opposite: houses that are structurally fine but were finished to a builder budget, with hollow doors, thin base, and rooms that were never given a focal point.
Matos Construction does custom cabinetry, finish carpentry, and home renovations across both. A lot of what we install in Round Hill is built-in storage, because these are family houses on decent lots where the storage problem is real and adding freestanding furniture just makes rooms smaller.
Custom Cabinetry & Built-Ins
Mudroom lockers, living room shelving, fireplace surrounds, home offices, and under-stair storage. This is our most requested work in Round Hill, and it is usually the cheapest way to make a room feel finished without moving walls.

Upgraded trim packages, crown, wainscoting, accent walls, beams, stairs, and railings. On a 2000s Round Hill house, replacing the builder trim is the single change that most alters how the interior reads.

Kitchens, bathrooms, basements, and whole-home work. We manage the schedule and the licensed trades, and we do the finish carpentry ourselves rather than handing it to whoever is available.

Getting Out to Round Hill Is Not the Problem
Round Hill is far enough west that a contractor coming from inside the Beltway will feel it, and you notice that as a homeowner. It shows up as crews arriving late, days that start at ten, and a punch list that drags because nobody wants to make the drive for two hours of work. We are based in Leesburg, so this is ordinary territory for us.
The work itself out here tends to be built-ins and trim upgrades on houses built in the last twenty-five years. Those are good houses. They were just finished quickly, with the same package as every other house in the neighborhood, and a wall of proper built-in shelving or a real trim profile changes the room more than most people expect for what it costs.
Every job gets a written line-item estimate up front, and the same team that measures the room does the installation.
Round Hill Renovation Questions
- Do you travel out to Round Hill?
- Yes. We are in Leesburg, so Round Hill is a normal part of our service area. It matters most at the end of a project, when what is left is a day of trim and touch-up and you need someone who will actually come back out to finish it.
- What is the most common project you do in Round Hill?
- Built-in storage and trim upgrades on homes built in the 2000s. Mudroom lockers, living room shelving, and fireplace surrounds come up most often, usually because the house has the space but none of it is organized.
- Can you upgrade builder-grade trim without redoing the whole house?
- Yes, and it is often the smartest way to spend a renovation budget. Replacing base and casing in the main living areas, adding crown, or building out one accent wall changes how the whole floor reads without touching the rooms nobody sees.
- How long does a built-in project take?
- Most run from a few days to about two weeks depending on size and finish. Open shelving on one wall is on the short end. A full fireplace surround with cabinets, lighting, and painted finish is on the longer end.
