Who we are

Matos Construction LLC is a residential renovation and finish carpentry company based in Leesburg, Virginia. This policy covers this website only. It does not cover other companies' sites, including our Facebook and Instagram pages.

What you give us directly

There are two forms on this site.

The estimate request form collects:

• Your name, email address, and phone number
• The city or ZIP code where the project is
• The type of project and any scope, timeline, or notes you choose to add

The careers and partnership form collects:

• Your name, email address, and phone number
• The type of inquiry and the message you write

We use this to reply to you and, for estimate requests, to plan and price the work. If you would rather not use a form, call or email us instead.

What gets collected automatically

• Your IP address and general location, usually accurate to the city
• Browser and device type
• Which pages you viewed, in what order, and for how long
• The site or search that sent you here
• Whether you clicked the phone number or submitted a form

Cookies and tracking tools

This site uses Google Tag Manager, Google Analytics, Google Ads conversion tracking, and Microsoft Clarity. These use cookies and similar browser storage. The Cookie Policy lists each one, what it does, and how long it lasts.

We use Google Analytics to count visits and see which pages are useful. We use Google Ads conversion tracking to learn whether an ad led to a call or an estimate request, so we can decide where to spend an advertising budget.

Session recording with Microsoft Clarity

Microsoft Clarity records how visitors use our pages, such as clicks, scrolling, and mouse movement, and lets us replay those visits. We use it to find parts of the site that are confusing or broken.

Microsoft processes this data under its own privacy statement (opens in a new tab). If you would rather not be recorded, you can block cookies for this site, turn on Global Privacy Control as described below, or contact us by phone or email instead.

Matching estimate requests to ads

When you submit the estimate form, your browser sends a scrambled version of your email address and phone number to Google Ads. Google calls this enhanced conversions. Its only purpose is to tell us whether an ad led to your request.

The scrambling happens on your device before anything is sent and cannot be reversed. Google compares it against its own records and reports a count back to us. We never see who matched. We do not send your name, address, or project details this way.

Global Privacy Control

If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, we treat it as a request to opt out of advertising use. We tell Google not to use data from your visit for ad storage or ad personalization, we do not send enhanced conversion data, and we tell Microsoft Clarity not to set cookies.

Who else sees your information

We do not sell your information, rent it, or trade it. It is shared only with services that run this site:

• Netlify hosts the site and processes both forms. Submissions are stored there and emailed to us.
• Google provides Tag Manager, Analytics, and Ads, and receives the information described above.
• Microsoft provides Clarity and receives the session data described above.
• Unsplash and Pexels serve some illustrative photos on blog pages. Loading those pages lets them see your IP address.
• Facebook and Instagram receive information only if you click a link to them.

We may also disclose information if the law requires it, such as a court order.

How long we keep it

We keep form submissions as long as we reasonably need them to follow up, honor work we performed, and meet tax and record-keeping obligations. Analytics and session data follow Google's and Microsoft's retention settings. Ask and we will delete your information, unless we have to keep a record of work already performed.

Your choices

Email office@matosconstruction.co and you can ask us to:

• Tell you what information we hold about you
• Correct anything that is wrong
• Delete your information
• Stop contacting you

We honor these requests for anyone who asks, wherever you live. We will not charge you and will not ask you to explain why.

You can also block or delete cookies in your browser, install Google's Analytics opt-out add-on (opens in a new tab), or adjust ad settings in My Ad Center (opens in a new tab). None of this will stop the site from working or stop you from contacting us.

Children

This site is meant for adults hiring a contractor. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe a child sent us information, email us and we will delete it.

Security

The site is served over an encrypted connection and form submissions are encrypted in transit. No website can promise perfect security. Please do not send account numbers or identification numbers through a form. We will never ask for them to give you a quote.

Changes to this policy

If we change what we collect or which services we use, we will update this page and the effective date at the top.
